QuTiP at EuroSciPy 2026

29 Aug 2026, Alexander Pitchford

Alexander Pitchford and Maximilian Meyer-Mölleringhof represented QuTiP at the EuroSciPy 2026 in Krakow in July. They gave a tutorial demonstrating qubit dynamics in closed and open systems and simulated the quantum teleportation protocol using the QuTiP-QIP package.

The conference was a great opportunity to learn about recent developments in key libraries. It was also a chance to learn about contemporary approaches to Python development and discover new libraries and projects. There were many interesting talks on applications, with a particular focus on astrophysics and cosmology. Of course, there were many useful contacts made and help found on specific current challenges. More detail can be found in this UF blog post. Their trip was supported by the Unitary Foundation.
